Context
Woodard & Associates CPA Modernization is an in-progress program to improve how a small CPA firm presents its services, organizes information, and supports client work. The effort brings together website redesign, content strategy, information architecture, client workflow modernization, TaxDome implementation work, and operating model improvements.
These are connected workstreams within a broader modernization effort, not evidence that every change is complete or that its outcomes have been measured. Small professional-services firms often rely on a web of durable knowledge, legacy tools, manual processes, and informal coordination, so modernization has to respect that operating reality.
Working diagnosis
The working diagnosis is that disconnected systems may create duplicate work and make important client and operational context harder to find. That diagnosis is an interpretation of the operating environment; no public current-state artifact establishes its extent.
My role
My current role is program lead and systems partner, with responsibility for translating operating needs into technical work and sequencing proposed changes across data, workflows, and client-facing systems.
Approach
The intended approach uses bounded increments: understand the current state, identify authoritative data, reduce migration uncertainty, and propose changes at a pace the firm can absorb. Public implementation records are not available yet.
System design / operating model
The proposed operating model links source-data review, controlled transformation, validation, and human approval. It is a design direction rather than a publicly verified description of current operations.
Current state and measurement
The modernization program remains in progress. No public before-and-after artifact or outcome measurement currently establishes operational improvement, reduced duplicate work, or a change in client experience. The long-term impact has not yet been measured.
Interpretation
Modernization is organizational design expressed through technology. The pace of adoption and clarity of ownership matter as much as the selected tools.
